Actually dah 3 weeks, I never wear my contact lense due to infection in my eyes! (left side)... grrrrr!!!

I followed all the prescription given by the doc (nak cepat sembuh katanya) Sgt ler rimas memakai spec especially di siang hari... lemas ler! dan sangat ler susah nak mengambil gambar + boleh mencalar -balarkan spec anda!! *sigh*

Last 2 days, I try to wear back.. npknya ok.. tp hari ni..arghhhhhhh..ianya kembali..I dun know what to do..npknya kena pi balik clinic..see how..!! Hope it will be recovered SOOOOOOONNNNNNNN!!! x tahan ler!!! or is it the contact lense itew sudah terinfected?? hurmmm...**melayang ler lagi $$ ku nak beli contact lense baru!! arghhhh!!**

P/S: Tapi kan..ramai yg suka bila saya pakai spec...lalala~ TQVM =) Saya mmg comel..muahahaha (x bleh blah!)

I just went back from Damansara Specialist around 3pm.

WHY???

Owh it's due to my "pre-auricular sinus" case.

I can't stand for the swelling area anymore!! I got to see a doctor!! owh pleaseeee!!

Actually that 'area' (left ear) was swelling 2, 3 days back! but I just ignorance, but it getting worse last night!! arghhhh!!

I'm guessing that there's an infection or got residual tract left inside!! OMG!!

I went to the office as usual and asked for the GL & EL. I called Dr. Roslan's Clinic but he's on leave. His assistant asked me to come and see Dr. Awal which another specialist for ENT. I don't mind on that as long as I can meet a doctor today!! then straight away I headed to Damansara Specialist.

After verification of GL, I headed to Dr. Awal's Clinic at level 1 same as Dr. Roslan. Since I walk-in for the appointment, so I have to wait for a quite some times! It's ok! this is for the sake of my life. (^_~)

I think I met someone that everyone knows about him. If I'm not mistaken he is "IRFAN KHAIRI" ~ Jutawan Internet Malaysia ~ He sent his wife for medical check-up and bring along his kids. 2 boys and 2 girls. So cute lah his kids... huhu

Eventually, I managed to meet Dr. Awal. Oh relief!! Such a lovely & soft spoken Dr. as compared to Dr. Roslan which is more ganazz.. huhu.. So that's right as what my officemate said about Dr. Awal.

Me: Assalamualaikum Dr.

Dr.: Waalaikummussalam. How are you?

Me: I'm not feeling very well Dr. I'm in pain right now. Can you see my left ears has been swelling. When I'm touching and a little bit pressing on that area... owh it's gonna make me pain!! It's beaten and seems like 'alive'.

Dr.: Have you feel like this previously after surgical procedures has been done?

Me: No, I don't facing this kind of problem, just a bit itchy sometimes.

Dr.: Ok, let me see your ears. Ok come, please sit on that chair (different chair purposely for check-up).

He pull his lamp and drag it yet focus on my left ears first then my right ears. While checking my left one, he try to touch a bit on that area.

Dr.: How do you feel? Is it too pain for you?

Me: Yeah... dat's right! it's beaten & 'alive'...

Dr.: Your ears is ok, scars pun xde, but only on that area got problem... (which is the small hole previously~pre-auricular sinus took part)

Me: Is it an infection Dr.? or is there any possibility that the tract was still active, I mean got residual tract has left inside.

Dr.: Since it's swelling, for sure your ears has infected. Yes, there's a possibility got a residual tract left inside. But, for a current moment, I can't see the tract due to that area is swelling.

Me: So what should I do to relief the pain?

Dr.: Ok. I'll give you the antibiotic and pain killer. You take this one for 10 days and we will see how does it goes. Is it workable or not. After 10 days you come and see me again for follow-up. Actually you will be given 2 options, whether you just want to take the antibiotic or if you are not satisfied on that and the problem recurring again, you can go for a second surgical procedures. FYI for a second one, it's gonna be a bit complicated because it's gonna be difficult to track the residual tract. But you don't worry, we will do the best for you.

Me: OMG!! as what as I expected. But for me, I'm OK on that matter. Ok, I'll take the antibiotic and pain killer first. I hope it's gonna be work for me. After 10 days, I'll come and see you again. Thank you very much Dr.

Dr.: Welcome.

#Actually this is just a few phrases of our conversation today. I just simplified to makes everyone easier to visualised what was happening. huhu.

#My next appointment will be on 15th June 2009 (Monday) 10am. (^_~)

Me: Ok, sure no problem. Dalam hati..yahoooo..sebab Dr. Roslan tu tak berapa mesra alam! huhu.. terus set the next date for appointment!

He just went thru the ligamen procedures (btul ka? kat lutut tu lah..huhu..hantam sudah!) Hope he will get well soon..!! InsyaAllah.. (^_^)

He's gonna be on MC for 2 weeks.. take your own sweet time for rest bro!

Anlene & Oat

juz nak sharing wit u guys..i think last mth, my opis ada panggil outsider for Anlene bone health check. since FOC, pegi jelah kan. apa susah. utk kebaikan kita juga. they used 1 machine to detect how strong our bone, so dia spray my kaki (1 side jer) dgn air then letak kt machine tu. area ankle tu. pastu leh tau result dia apa. ada 3 category which is:

(i) risiko tinggi/high risk: red colour (ni dah tahap teruk, normally org yg dah tua..silap2 yg muda pun ada kalo x jaga betul2)

(ii) risiko sederhana/moderate risk: yellow colour (most of d ppl berada di sini including me. my result is -1.6. so since my age still below 30 dia kata suh minum susu lagi so that dia bleh shifting to the green line..OMG! i have to drink milk..*sigh*)

(iii) risiko rendah/low risk: green colour (org2 yg berada di sini cukup bagus & juz maintain jer..Kak Haida, Ipin..u rock babeh..warna hijau tuh!)

so ari tu i pun belilah susu anlene for my bone & oat for my cholesterol problem. npknya kena jadikan ianya routine..even it is so bored! arghhh.

The Result...mmmm...

i'm still not fall asleep...even though clock showing 1217am...mmmm...i'm tryin' to finish up my assignments..*sigh* a plenty of them to finish up! actually i juz went back from d clinic collecting my blood test result of d cholesterol level...mmm...last 2 weeks, i was felt not very well..dizziness..headache..fever..sickening..

my doc advised me to do a blood test for cholesterol since my blood pressure was fine...as i expected org kurus memang ada high cholesterol!! d result itself has proven to me dat..i got high cholesterol..what can i say. d only way is i have to control my foods..doc has given me d "atorvastatin calcium" (anti-cholesterol) which for 1 mth supply. i've to take for 3 mths n do a blood test again in order to see how is d improvement. i hope 3 mths later..my cholesterol level will doin fine & free from that. so guys..those yg skinny, don't u think u r free from d high cholesterol syndrom! huhu..better go for check-up. i also checked my sugar level..Alhamdulillah mine is normal & ocayyy..no diabetes. is anyone can give me a suggestion to decrease d cholesterol? i mean nutraceutical products, petua2..etc etc, juz leave a comment. mata pun dah ngantuk..c u later dear..muahhhhhh (selamat malam kekasih gelapku..ahaks!)

Scar Treatment??

25/12..ye ye arini cuti da..xmas. aku pun x tau nak watper..so aku decided nak g TESCO Ampang jap. nak g beli contact lense kt Focus Point then nak find out MEDERMA gel for scar treatment! huhu..since my ears ni ada scar i wanna try it. actually i found this info fr. Scoliosis Survival blog..dlm blog tu ada org tanya dia, camne nak hilangkan parut..so dia bg 2 suggestion. 1) Mederma Gel 2) Serum Vitamin E Palmer.

Actually yg serum ni, i saw it previously tp quite bad smelly..huhu. so i wanna try mederma..see how its work! huhu..yg penting i got very cute sticker..(x sticker actually) yg bleh tampal kt cermin tu apa ek??(matilah aku kna bahan nt sbb x tau..see d pic) cr Mederma gel kat watson TESCO xde..so i went to Watson JJ Maluri. kat sana ada. i bought 1 which is RM31.80 for 20g. quite expensive..mmm try jelah. btw, contact lense O2 pun dah naik $$..sabo jelah. skang ni dia panggil air optic for 3pcs RM69 dulu RM60 jer..my power is not balance, so i've to buy 6pcs ler..huhu.

I'm Pre-Auricular Sinus Survival

on 22nd & 23rd, i was in office & working as usual. actually since MC, i don't really have a feel to work!! *sigh* i have to take AL for 24/12. My boss was gelak at me due to my ears! hahaha..i was explain to him.

on 24/12, i returned to the Damansara Specialist. Actually the appointment is in the morning then yesterday, i received a call from the clinic that the appointment has to postponed in the afternoon session (230pm). Doctor ada operation on that morning. it's oklah since I'm taking 1 day leave shouldn't be a problem.

around 215pm dah masuk bilik doctor. "How do you feel Rahman?" "so far so good doctor. i'm doin well". huhu. nervous gak nak buka jahit nih. huhu. "ok hari ni nak buka jahit kan?".. "yes doctor".."ok, u just sit there" ada 1 chair kt situ for medical purposes. doklah kt situ then, doctor pun pakai mask, then kuarkan dia punya mcm pisau jilid tu..huhu. dia start with the left ear. open up the plaster then dia tarik microscope tgk kat stitches tu..dia pun amik pisau td buka stitches tu satu2..(masa ni i was closed my eyes & dok diam2)..x lama je doc ckp dah setel..pergh so relief! hahaha..dia cuci my left ear then turned around the chair, setelkan yg right ear lak. huhu. same way goes for my right ear. after settle all those procedures, he was counting for me which how many stitches that i had!! hahaha..ok right ear: 1,2,3,4,5,6..(wow 6 stitches!!), left ear: 1,2,3,4,5 (just 5 only!)

ok everything fine, so no medicine, no further check-up. hari ni cuti ke? yes doc. (menyesal aku x mintak mc sampai ari ni) huhu. i was asked him, "doc, kalo i'm not doing this surgery, what is complication that i could be face?" oh..kalau u x wat, it will be dangerous because i'm reali concerned about the 'tract'..that tract kalau pecah..it will affected the whole ears than it's really hard to do the surgery. Alhamdulillah, mine is already OK! so I'm Pre-Auricular Sinus Survival!! ;) Now, I've to looking for scar treatment! huhu..npk ler the scar.ehehe.

Hye guys..lama rasanya x update blog nih, actually I was admitted @ Damansara Specialist due to "pre-auricular sinus". mmmm..apa tuh..u guys bleh refer previous post..ehehe.

16/12/08 (Tuesday)

830am: register for admission...keep on waiting for the 4 bedded room (lamanyer...) have to puasa fr 7am sampai operation time.

1100am: the room is available but I'm heading straight away to Day Ward which is waiting room @ OT (Operation Theatre) @ Level 3. have to change the wardrobe..huhu pakailah baju OT tuh..green colour, pakai mcm shower cap then the best part is disposable underwear..huhu. keep on waiting (baring di atas katil)...dahlah aircond sejuk..(asyik nak terkenc jelah kan)

my operation will be held at 1pm..so around that time aku ni asyik ke toilet sampai kakak nurse yg jaga tu tanya "rahman awak takut ker?" haha..pastu nurse tu ambil blood pressure aku..pergh sampai 3x ambik..blood pressure aku pun naik ke paras x normal...nurse ckp awak relax jer..kali ke-3 turun jugak..tp aku x lah rasa takut sgt..I'm ready beb! tp rupa2nya nervous gak indirectly! huhu.

while waiting, pakar bius & saraf pun dtg, suh sign form then asked me a few Q. antara soklan2 yg aku masih ingat: "u student ke dah bekerja?" (ternyata i npk muda lg..jgn jeles k! huhu), "ada darah tinggi ker?, sakit2 lain?" but the best part bila dia tanya "gigi u tu original ke palsu?"...immediately my answer is "ori doctor!" hahaha...semua tu mestilah ditanya sbb ada kaitan dgn bius & operation itself!

130pm: around this time baru aku dipanggil masuk OT. doctor yg accompanied aku tu letak selimut kt blkg sbb baju OT tu sexy seh. ikat2 jer..ehehe. then pakai kasut getah mcm crocs tuh..huhu. aku wondering gak mana agaknya my doc in charge which is Dr. Roslan. rupa2nya dia dah tunggu kt dlm OT.

doc pun suh baring atas katil OT tu, dia letaklah mcm wayar2 kat dada yg slalu tgk kt dlm tv tuh, then dia pun cucuk kat tgn aku utk proses bius. Alhamdulillah senang je cari nerve, doc inject je..trus x sedar..(mcm tdo yg sgt nyenyak..serious talk beb!)

310pm: tersedar bila doc tanggalkan oxygen from my mouth, then kuar from OT, waiting @ day ward, nurse kejutkan and then i was asked "is it done?"..then i saw my sis. pastu diaorg pun tolak ke normal ward (room 322 which the last room in level 3..huhu)

5pm: around 5pm, doc dtg and asked whether do i feel dizzy, vomiting..i said not at all..tp bila ptg tu try mkn, perghhh..baru makan sikt, rasa nk muntah. trus baring..last2 mlm tu mkn roti jer. kalau dah ok, nurse suruh bangun & pergi toilet. so bila dah ok, aku trus bangun g toilet. nurse bagi pain killer ptg tuh. After Maghrib, baru lah bleh sms rakan2 to inform that i was admitted & surgical procedures has been done & went well.

830pm: naima, kin & abg syg was dtg jenguk me..thanx for d balloon & dadih. huhu. sempatlah kami bergbr2..haha..semua org igt hidung yg kena operate..nope..telinga sbnrnya. pas mereka pulang, mata pun rasa mengantuk..i need a rest. so tdo time.

17/12/08 (Wednesday)

9ooam: after breakfast, i've to took another pain killer. doc ada dtg for checking and asked the nurse to do dressing on my ears. after dressing, i'm still waiting for discharge.

1200pm: the admin staff has told me that i bleh discharge. cepat fr what i was expecting. i taught around 2pm baru discharge. so those rakan2 yg nk dtg melawat, so sorry, i dah kluar awal. masa kuar tu semua org starring at me!! arghhh...bcoz of my ears yg berbungkus. mcm alien dah. doc ckp on 24/12 u have to come nak buka jahit. i got mc up to friday only. huhu. dlm lif masa nak balik tuh, adalah 1 india sibuk je tanya "kenapa telinga?" aku dahlah xde mood, nak je aku lepuk mulut lelaki india tuh..hahaha..my sis yg tlg jwbkan..pastu dia ckp problem dia telinga gak..dlm hati aku..hello ko tu sakit lain, aku sakit lain k! hahaha..jahat2..org dahlah emo, dia sibuk nak tanya2 kan! hahaha

Pre-Auricular Sinus

Preauricular sinuses are common congenital malformations first described by Heusinger in 1864. They are frequently noted on routine physical examination as small dells adjacent to the external ear, usually at the anterior margin of the ascending limb of the helix. However, they have been reported to occur along the lateral surface of the helicine crus and the superior posterior margin of the helix, the tragus, or the lobule. Anatomically, they are lateral and superior to the facial nerve and the parotid gland.

Preauricular sinuses are inherited in an incomplete autosomal dominant pattern, with reduced penetrance and variable power of expression. They can arise spontaneously. The sinus may be bilateral in 25-50% of cases, and bilateral sinuses are more like to be hereditary. In unilateral cases, the left side is more commonly affected.

Surgical Care

Once infection occurs, the likelihood of recurrent acute exacerbations is high, and the sinus tract should be surgically removed. Surgery should take place once the infection has been treated with antibiotics and the inflammation has had time to subside. Controversy regarding indications for surgery exists. Some believe that the sinus tract should be surgically extirpated in patients who are asymptomatic because the onset of symptoms and subsequent infection cause scarring, which may lead to incomplete removal of the sinus tract and postoperative recurrences. The recurrence rate after surgery is 13-42% in smaller studies and 21% in one large study.
